Info: 1952 Spartan Imperial Spartanette; Spartan door plate #140-52-A268. Per www.spartantrailer.com : overall length: 39 feet, 10 inches; weight: 7830 lbs. Purchased new by current owners in 1953 or early 1954, and set down upon purchase in current location in rural northwestern Nebraska. Occupied only briefly. Plumbing and electric long disconnected and untested. This is a two bedroom, one bath model. All original. Sleeps 5. Floor is solid, but floor covering may need replacing. Birch interior on walls/ceiling is intact, but small holes in ceiling in middle bedroom. All original light fixtures, curtains and Venetian blinds. Pocket doors between bedrooms; all closet doors and cabinetry (drawers, doors, etc.) present, including pull-up mirror to form dressing table in drawer in middle bedroom. Middle bedroom has upper bunk with movable ladder and 3/4 bed below. Rear bedroom has twin beds with chest/nightstand between and another chest/mirror in corner near rear outside door. Bath has shower/tub combo with original green surround in excellent condition, foot-flush toilet, sink with mirrored medicine cabinet over, heater in door of sink vanity below. Showerhead and sink faucet handles missing. U-shaped kitchen with corner 2-bowl sink has original green surround and countertops in excellent condition. Original Dixie stove in place but disconnected/unused in many years; original Frigidaire is operational, and exterior finish is damaged on lower door. Owner's manuals for Frig available. Original gate-leg table has been re-finished in similar color and opens/closes fully. Original furnishings include green vinyl-covered L-shaped divan with drawers beneath. Corner mirror adjacent to kitchen is cracked. Original Coleman furnace (with manual), long unused, maybe never used. No apparent water leaks, but one cracked/broken window in "sitting" area where some water has come in. Exterior missing one tail light; needs new door latches/locks; signature Spartan logo on exterior is missing, but dirt-covered spot shows its former location. Screen door attached to rear bedroom door, no screen on living room door. Exterior skin sound, but dirty. Will polish! Original Spartan inventory sheet, completed in pencil and signed on 9/9/52 by R. Williams, inspector, shows this is Model 140, Chassis #A300, model 7. Four shiny round hubcaps in excellent condition included. No tires or wheels available. Bonded title available at closing. We will be available to assist in the transportation of this trailer. It seems that the preferred method of transportation would be a flatbed truck.
